  19. Prepare 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  20. Prepare 1 medium size coad for making dum
  21. Take 1 tsp ghee for making dum
  22. Get 100 gram peas
  23. Prepare 100 gram cashew
  24. Take to taste Salt
  25. Get 2-3 whole dry chillies
  26. Take 2-4 coriander herbs for garnish
  27. Get 3 tsp milk
  28. Prepare Pinch saffron
  29. Make ready For Dahi
  30. Make ready 500 gm curd
  31. Prepare 1 tsp chat masala
  32. Take to t Salt

My theme is 'Rice recipes' and it would be unfair to not post one of my favorite rice dishes. Veg Biryani is a delicious and aromatic preparation of Rice, Vegetables and spices cooked in a traditional Hyderabadi Dum Biryani style.

Instructions to make Veg Dum biryani:
  1. Take a one pan add 1 t spoon ghee and let get hot it, now add 1 2 leaf tejpatta 1 2 cloves or 1 stick cinnamon, 2 3 whole cardamom roast it properly then add ginger garlic paste saute for 2 3 min and add fresh tomato puree with 100 grams of cashew and 10 grams chopped ghreen chillies saute for 5 min with low flame
  2. After 5 min add medium chopped potatoes and saute for 2 min now add medium chopped onion and after 2 min add medium chopped capsicums and carrots and saute for 5 min with medium flame
  3. Now add salt as perticular's taste, add 1/2 t spoon turmeric powder,1 t spoon red chilli powder,1 teaspoon dhaniya zeera powder,1 t spoon ginger powder and mix properly.
  4. After 10 min to low flame cooking, add 3 t spoon of Ghee in vegetable mixture and add peas. And 1 t spoon garam masala
  5. For cooking rice: take pan add 1 t spoon of Ghee and add 2 3 cloves with 1 2 whole cardamom and 1 t spoon of cumin seeds and boil with 500 ml water for 5 min.
  6. After 5 min add basmati rice 250 grams in boiling water and cook it with low flame for 25 min.
  7. For layering the Biryani: take big cooker greasing with 1 t spoon of ghee now make 1 layer of basmati rice then make layer of vegetables mashala, make layer step by step and make sure the upper layer is also of rice,
  8. Now take 3 t spoon milk mix pinch of saffron and pour it, add 3 t spoon of Ghee and cook it 20 min with very low flame
  9. After 20 min take 1 medium size coal cube make it super hot, put it in the bowl and add 1 t spoon of Ghee and immediately close the cooker for 2 3 min for making dum. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  10. For Dahi: take 500 ml/gram dahi add 1 t spoon chat mashala, salt as perticular's taste, 2 3 leaf coriander herbs mix it well and serve with veg dum Biryani.
