Steps to make Mushroom Sauce:
  1. Pour canola oil in your pot, then fry your onion and saute it then add your chopped mushrooms
  2. Gently stir them and cover them just for less than 5 min.
  3. Mix the flour, cream of mushroom with small amount of water mix it as a paste.
  4. Open the pot and stir and add that paste and followed with fresh cream it will thicken and the margarine add it the the texture will change to be a little lose and it's then ready to be served.

This versatile sauce is delicious served with anything spooned over pork chops, chicken, pasta, meatballs, or even rice. There are two ways to go about this mushroom sauce: You can dice the mushrooms and make this more of a cohesive sauce, as I did, or you can slice the mushrooms thin but otherwise whole, which makes a brown sauce that has mushrooms in it rather than a mushroom sauce, if you get my meaning. Whichever route you go, this is classically French.
