  5. Return beef and bacon along with all other ingredients (except for parsley), bring to the boil, cover then lower the heat to simmer for one hour
  6. Remove lid and simmer for a further 30 minutes to thicken the sauce
  7. Garnish with a little chopped parsley and serve with boiled rice
  8. Enjoy with friends and the rest of the wine
